Christmas Lights

Lighting Up Snowman Park

Thanks to Jamie Young, Village Foreman for taking the initiative to light up Snowman Park! He would like to have more lights so if you wish to donate LED lights in good condition, they can be taken to the Village office. Additional extension cords in good service would also be appreciated.

If you do not require a receipt, your donation may be made directly at Riverbend Co-operative, Account #92591-7 The deadline for gifts directed to the 2018 cards is December 16, 2018 (donations to store on December 17 is acceptable) .

Mayor Mike's Message

Merry Christmas from the Village Mayor, Council + Administration . 2018 was a year that saw the Village use the infrastructure grant money to solve a six year old problem with Ground Under Direct Influence (GUDI). With the help of a Government Grant a new well was dug and perfected.

Employees have been attentive to the needs of our rate payers and a big shout out to both Jamie and Carman. Jamie has taken the bull by the horns and shortened his learning curve in all areas bringing stability to the position. The Christmas lights at the Snowman Park were his idea and not a day goes by that someone doesn't comment on how nice that area looks.

Carman brings knowledge to the administrative position that is not easily found and handles questions and concerns in a positive way.

In closing, I would like to say how fortunate I am to work with and represent such a great group of people. Of note our councillors' possess a wide range of knowledge and can all be counted on to contribute. The people in the village should feel they are able to approach each and every councillor.

We are not ready to put 2018 behind us just yet but all the best to you and yours this Christmas season. Mayor and Council
