Chamber Message
We are a strong and active community, a place you may wish to look into if you are considering rural life, a slower pace, reduced living costs, and a place to really participate in community life.
Kenaston is known for its community spirit which shows itself in many ways…. from our level of volunteerism, to the projects we undertake, and it shows in the vision we have for our community. We are proud of our heritage and love the way of life in Saskatchewan. We have a number of community development projects underway, through the Kenaston and District Chamber of Commerce and our vision supports the re-vitalization of rural Saskatchewan and the small community lifestyle. Kenaston is on Hwy #11, and between the province’s two major cities, Saskatoon and Regina.
We have many excellent facilities including a hockey arena, seasonal indoor swimming pool, a large and large community center (Kenaston Place), fire hall, town and municipal offices, restaurant, Credit Union, service station, insurance office, beverage room, post office, co-op store, campground, K-12 school (kindergarten to grade 12), a distance learning centre. Kenaston also has a social center for seniors, and several low-cost housing units.
We are pleased to have our three grain elevators still adorning the skyline, which are now privately owned and were utilized as off farm grain storage. One of our elevators can boast as being the 1st steel elevator in Western Canada.
We are always happy to have new families and business move in, and would welcome your inquiries about lots, farms, housing or business opportunities in the Kenaston and District area. If we can help you decide on Kenaston, let us.
Our Chamber has met monthly in the past and hope to resume meetings in the future. We welcome visitors and if you would like to attend a meeting or contact us you may write or e-mail to: kenastonchamber@gmail.com
