NOTICE TO THE VILLAGE OF KENASTON RESIDENTS
3rd Street (Main Street) Road Repair Work
Please be advised that road repair work on 3rd Street (Main Street) is expected to begin Saturday, October 3rd, in the morning.
The work will begin with sweeping and cleaning the streets, which will create a significant amount of dust in the area. Following the cleaning, crews will be repairing and sealing the road along the entire length of 3rd Street (Main Street).
During the work, residents and businesses should expect:
- Significant dust while the streets are being swept and cleaned.
- Partial or full road closures in sections of 3rd Street (Main Street) as the work progresses.
- Traffic delays and temporary changes to traffic flow.
- Reduced or temporarily restricted access to businesses along 3rd Street (Main Street) as crews complete the work.
- Construction equipment and workers in the area.
The work is expected to continue into the middle of next week, depending on weather and progress.
To help the work proceed as smoothly and safely as possible, residents are asked to avoid parking along 3rd Street (Main Street) while the work is underway. If crews need access to an area where a vehicle is parked, we kindly ask that residents work with the construction crew and move their vehicles when requested so the work can be completed safely and efficiently.
For everyone's safety, please be aware of and respect all traffic control signs, barricades, and directions from workers in the area. Please use extra caution when travelling through or near the work zone.
